Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you.
1 Peter 1:3-4
I don’t know what experiences you guys have had with His faithfulness, but I know that He has been very faithful to me. Many different times He has provided for me just in the way that I needed it. The other day on the way to school I was feeling kind of disgruntled. And self-centered. When I was walking in Hartford to my next bus stop it was exactly 7 o’clock, and some church bells started playing Amazing Grace. When I heard the song, and started thinking about the words, it changed my attitude. Instead of thinking just about myself, it reminded me of my Savior who died for me, and the mercy I have received from Him.
Though this is an example of mercy, it is also an example of His faithfulness to me. This isn’t the first time something similar has happened to me. Just when I most need a reminder or I need help, He sends something or someone to me that reminds me of His love, grace, and mercy. I never deserve what he has given me, but even when I stray, he is faithful in reminding me that He is my heavenly Father who loves and cares for me.
Even now His faithfulness continues. I’m on spring break, and I’ve done a lot of stuff, and had even more planned. I think it was getting too distracting to me, so once again He sent me a reminder to slow down and gave me a chance to focus on Him. Yup, I’m sick, running a fever and feeling pretty awful. Though it wasn’t through a method that I would have liked, I know that He is in control, and that He has once again sent me a reminder of His faithfulness.
Some things may happen to us that we don’t like, or maybe we do like. I just wanted to encourage all of you to look around, and you can see His faithfulness all around you. Maybe at first, it doesn’t seem like a good thing, but in it God has a plan. No matter what the circumstances, He is faithful!
